while i've never been a prolific contributor here at jwd, some may have noticed my dramatically curtailed participation.

that's because on the evening of saturday, may 19th, i shared a kiss with the woman in the below picture, and that kiss turned into a dramatic and passionate adventure.

one that we're still both enjoying, and that we've decided to continue.... she is the most exciting, loving, fun, smart, sexy and beautiful woman i have ever met.

How Many Entire Families That You Know Of Stayed "In The Truth"?

most kids that grew up "in the truth", that i knew of did not stick around.

and if they did, they were "in the truth" in name only.

they played both sides and were considered "weak".. do you know of entire families still in without any defection??

Good question M,
I personally couldn't think of any that didn't have a least one who left. I know of couples with one child who still are in but their entire family never was.

i used to carry a 'no shunning' policy.

i would not tolerate those who acted toward me like they did not know me after 30 years as a jw.

i would force them to speak - or embarrass the living hell out of them if they didn't.

I certainly understand Jeff,
In my 10 plus years away from the witnesses, any incidental contact with the "nose in the air crowd" get a hug and kiss them on the cheek.( The look of horror as they skwerm is priceless)
Kinda like you being yourself in the coffee shop and still having a good time. I think the witnesses, like my family members who are still in , expect us to tear our clothes and start wailing away when we are shunned. Sorry, I won't have any part in returning that kind of treatment to anyone, it isn't who I am.

The question under consideration is not about God or creation if one looks closely. Most have missed it.
Sorry Jeff, I probably fall under that catagory.
I still respect those who believe in creation and how someone other than myself feels about a certain subject, doesn't bother me in the least. I love the debate still....
I painfully remember being around people who believe the same thing and man was that boring.

Why is it so hard for a JW to admit when they are wrong about anything?

why would jws rather argue and argue instead of admitting defeat and wrongdoing?

JW's are not working with a full deck for their house of cards belief system. Admitting their wrong removes another structural piece.
Even if they know their wrong, they can't risk it all coming down around them.

i'm not talking about internet friends, but friends close by in your town.. so, do you have as many friends as you would like to have?.

when i was young and going to school, i had a few friends, but now i don't have any friends, but on the other hand, i'm a loner and i don't really care.

i'm not really searching for friends.

No.. not really. I have always been a person with one or two really close buddies and many acquaintances, at work and when I was a JW.
Between a hectic work schedule, A Grandson I babysit alot,not much free time lately.
